Teach me how to TURKEY! Whodathunk?

Hellloooooooooooo all the way from TURKEY! I have arrived safely to the first stop on our tour. The show opens tonight, Friday, the 14th. We haven't done very much here as far as sight seeing and touring so far. The time difference is giving everyone extreme jet lag. The first night we went out to eat and had a difficult time communicating. For instance, I asked for water and got peach juice! We asked for separate checks and we all got glasses of tea! LOL! It was quite a task! It's crazy how you think you know sign language and that if you speak louder and slower foreigners will understand....they don't! Here are a few pics and a video to show you a bit of Turkey. Enjoy the video!

My dresser Serpil. Very sweet! I wish I could talk to her though. Her parents are from Libya and Egypt and she is from Turkey. I did find out that she knows at least one english word....Beyonce!

Run Patrice Run?????

I have never been a RUNNER runner! At most, I'll give you a cute jog during the commercials and a brisk walk during the TV show while I am on the treadmill. I have never ran outside and my knees are busted! BUT but but....thanks to some friends I have become so motivated and I want to give this running business an honest try. Several of my friends, both men and women, are inspiring me to run so much that I have been thinking about it nonstop.

So with all that being said, I am putting my excuses to the side and I THINK I am saying that I want to train for a 5k. I usually do 3 miles or so on the treadmill so this shouldn't be so bad right? Right? I have big plans to start running inside and outside while I am in Europe. I have been doing research on programs that will aid in training me for a 5k. I found one called "Couch to 5k" that claims to guarantee the laziest and most out of shape people to be successful at running! It's program tells you how long to walk and how long to run in order to get you together for the 5k.

One of my friends told me about a group called "Black Girls Run". It's an epidemic! They have groups all across the US including NYC and North Jersey. They have cute little t-shirts and a blog to keep me interested. Their facebook page really got me excited too. Please send me love and prayers as I start this journey. Since I have put this out on the WWW, I guess I kinda have to do it! Now I just need to find a race....

Check some pics of some of friends that I am really proud of for hitting the ground running! Ya'll look good!!!!! Now help me!
